I'm Emily; a photographer, journalist, and visual artist based out of Monmouth County, NJ.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Photography, with double minors in Journalism & Graphic Design from Monmouth University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, as part of Monmouth's Honors School, and as the highest ranking Art degree recipient of my graduating class.
I have experience working both with newspapers and magazines, and writing everything ranging from news and features to extended research papers. I've worked in Photography Studios as well as freelanced out in the field doing portraiture, nature, animal, landscape, event and sports photography.
I've always had a passion for art as a whole, but feel that Photography has a uniquely beautiful duality and power. Photography can present the real world as art, can transcend barriers, and capture both the beauty and pain of the real world. When paired with Journalism, the two can work together to inform, empower, educate, and promote change.
